½ day Automated External Defibrillator Training (AED)

Brief Overview:
The overall aim of the AED
training is to provide the students with
sufficient knowledge, skills and
confidence to commence Basic Life
Support and safely and effectively use
an AED until further medical assistance
arrives.
Learning Outcomes:
Recognise and understand the
importance and correct procedure for
performing basic life support on adults
and the importance and correct procedure
of using an AED (Follows Resuscitation
council UK guidelines).

Delivery Method:
Didactic, PowerPoint (including video
clips), Group Work (buzz groups and
practical scenarios).
Target Audience:
Any person nominated to be an AED
operator.
Course location:
Delivered In House (Training venues can
be arranged, phone for details)
Length:
3 hours (½ day)
Frequency:
Annually (Every 12 months) as per
Resuscitation council UK guidelines
Any associated award:
A training provider certificate valid
for 12 months issued on completion of
assessment.
