One day outdoor emergency aid training (OEFA)

Brief Overview:
This course is designed for
those working in the outdoors. It
fulfils the requirements of all National
Governing Bodies such as BASI, Snowsport
Scotland, BCU, MLTB etc.
Learning Outcomes:
o provide the student with the
knowledge, skills and confidence to deal
with a medical emergency in a outdoor
location where the emergency services
may be unable to attend within the
government target time of 8 minutes.

Indoor and outdoor scenarios
Delivery Method:
PowerPoint presentations, discussions,
demonstrations and video are used to
present simple theory. This is combined
with practical work, indoor
scenarios and outdoor scenarios to
ensure that first aid techniques are
fully understood and can be applied in a
variety of situations. Each participant
is provided with a comprehensive first
aid manual.

An HSE-approved certificate valid for
three years issued on completion of
assessment.
